Here is a fantastic artist [Scott Ingram] I discovered at Emily Amy Gallery in Atlanta…always wondered what I could do with all those bottles of nail polish I never seem to finish!! I'm kidding…but hey, it might be worth a shot.

If you happen to visit our beautiful beaches this summer between JUNE 15th and JULY 22nd, stop by the Cultural Arts Association's Designer Showhouse!!! It is spectacular this year. The home is located in the The Retreat in Blue Mountain Beach right off of Scenic Hwy. 30-A and is definitely one you don't want to miss.

This year, I furnished + styled the library-office located on the third floor and opted for a modern, classic vibe with a bit of a vintage twist. The room showcases classic mid-century pieces by Eames and Stark, along with a menagerie of vintage/eclectic books and curiosities I've accumulated collected over the years. Here are some pics I took with my iPhone….

I'm just thrilled with the "lived-in" feel of the space and absolutely in LOVE with the panoramic views through the windows. What a perfect spot for enjoying a spectacular sunset [or sunrise…whichever you prefer] over the Gulf waters.

And here are a few additional interior shots of the home [obviously unfurnished]. Each room is truly unique and the overall feel of the home is just pure tranquility and complete calmness. Can't wait to see how the other local designers style their spaces…got a peek at a few of the rooms today, and I must say I'm so very excited!!! Can't wait until Monday night's Preview Party.

I recently discovered images captured by in a Dutch magazine I was reading […or let's say I was looking at the photos and trying to translate the words on the page using what little Dutch I know]. Finding his work to be very intriguing, I decided to check out his website.
One word came to mind immediately : W O W !!
It appears he's worked with some of the best [in my personal opinion] in the design biz…can you say hello Hable, Martha Stew, J. Adler. The list goes on and on and on…. Check out his work over here.
Recently, I discovered these adorable hand towels found right here at Etsy. I absolutely LOVE the patterns and C O L O R S !! Check out a few other items that caught my eye …
hearts
pillowcases
baby blankets

Check out James Brooks art. Isn't it fantastic???? I'm so excited about his work and thrilled to be using a few pieces from one of his series' for one of my latest projects. I absolutely l o v e his use of color and texture, and those maple shadowbox frames really complete the look.
" I am foremost a colorist and I use different tones, hues and values to create atmospheric and vibrational effects to express mood. " - James Brooks
Any [and all] of his compositions would work hand-in-hand with my own design style and aesthetic. As you all know I don't shy away from COLOR. Personally, I would just adore waking up to one of these in my own bedroom [...I still haven't bought that piece of art I so desperately need in there] each morning. Definitely a way to start the day off right.
This weekend the weather was absolutely GORGeous!!! So we decided to head out to an art event at Watercolor where I discovered several new artists. I always enjoy seeing other people's talents and ideas, and somehow working them into my own [interior] designs is really exciting!
Here were a few of my favorites from "Art in the Park" this year.
F. Adaro :
AMAZING life size portraits using mixed media. I so want one of me and baby girl…Definitely on my wishlist.

Jennifer had wonderful images she'd recently taken of landscapes and architecture that were extremely interesting. Her perspectives were so different and unique. My favorites were her series of Alys Beach rooftops and her abstract impressions of our coastal dunes lakes.

Monique Coco McCall Pillows :
These hand painted pillows were fantastic, and Monique's booth was equally c o o l . I absolutely LOVED the giant canvas [bicycle] hanging as a backdrop and seeing her assortment of custom pillows made it difficult to choose just one…or two, or three.
