Recently I gave my laundry room a budget-friendly makeover. It had zero personality before, and I wasn't diggin' it. White walls + no natural sunlight = unhappy laundress.
I borrowed this great [inexpensive] idea from the Southern Living Idea House designed by Tracery Interiors, they're located in Rosemary Beach. They used a stencil and some sassy paint to create an accent wall behind a bed. Voila, instant pizazz!!

After a long debate, I purchased the "Round-A-Bout" stencil and decided to pair it with Benjamin Moore "Icy Morn" and my existing wall color Benjamin Moore "Super White". Since the paint is applied by sponge, the end result was a soft, watercolor-like pattern [which worked quite nicely with the pale grey/green color I chose]. **This color also happens to be on my laundry ceiling.
[before :: sterile, white walls]
[YAY, one entire wall DONE!!]
[wrapping first corner behind washer/dryer, this wasn't one of the hi-lites thanks to the open shelving]

Must say this was a fun DIY project and it has definitely improved my laundry experience. You can order your own stencil from Whitewall Co. here TIP of the day :: remember, DON'T get in a hurry. You'll end up with smudges.
